Comfortable Street-wear meets the Chronic Illness Community

What's Good Warrior Gang?

As I write this first blog for Thee CME Apparel, I cant help but think, " How in the world am I going to do this"? Before I get into it; let me introduce myself. My name is Robyn Bell. I am an African American woman that was born with Sickle Cell Disease type SS. I am a California native with 31 years of experience of living with a debilitating chronic illness. I never thought about building a business or making social media content for a living. I was "supposed" to be a professional dancer that went to NYU and trained with Alvin Alley or some amazing dance company around the world. I was "supposed" to be a travel nurse helping my beloved Sickle Cell Warriors in a pediatric Hospital. Instead, I got kicked out of College due to my absences and many hospitalizations. I didn't know what to do or what I should focus on because I thought my purpose was optional. I thought what the Lord told me to do was my plan B, but it really was my plan ONLY! I love the fact that I am able to use my creativity to Create something just for us! Thee CME Apparel started out as a Sickle Cell Clothing Brand, but as led by the Holy Spirit, it is now a Comfortable Street wear Brand for the Chronic Illness Community! CME stands for Cultivating healthy coping skills, Motivating sustainable and positive mindsets, and Empowering the Chronic Illness Community through Education, Awareness, and Street wear that is accessible for real bodies and real life! I'ts not often that we find fashion brands or any brands that will cater to a community that feels invisible. We want to make the invisible feel visible one collection at a time! I need you and we need each other! Sincerely, Warrior
